welp, that install of ubuntu is fucked. Goddamnit systemd and package updates.

im pretty sure the issue is in the systemd-resolver (dns issue), i tried the quick fix and rebooted, but the issue seems to be restarting everytime I reboot so something is like double installed or going wrong on boot.

Idk if i want to dig into it or just wipe the partition and reinstall. Literally the first time in 2.5 years of running ubuntu i've had this issue and I think the issue came with a libre office update, which is super retarded.

I'm a Devuan.org maxi now after several similar experiences, but with debian rather than ubuntu.

The old-timers knew what they were about with the "unix principle", that SystemD is the antithesis of. However well-executed, it is an anti-pattern.

Did you do the updates? Did you had any programms installed that were not on the repositories?

I do regular automated updates, but yes I also install software outside the package manager. I prefix it to /opt subfolders to prevent clobbering.

I still use Debian for ARM architectures, Devuan can be tardy there.
