HP Pavilion dv6-3140us with AMD II Triple Core died

Did you lose any data ??

ive been able to salvage and rebuilding now

OK now you're gonna get a new laptop and stop using that one right?

I cant use the one that died. Issue may be cpu or video related. Video was very bad with vertical lines and artifacting for a few months.

Have you seen the price of new laptops?

Im gonna get a `newer` used laptop.

- 16 GB DDR3 RAM

- 8 Core Intel i7 4710

- 1 TB SSD

- 15" 1920x1080 screen

Personally I'd go with DDR4 and an m.2 slot, which you can get with a 14" screen for like $200, but it may be more if a 19" screen is important.

Something like this, then just drop in a new Samsung 980 EVO 1TB nvme SSD (cause I never trust refurbished storage devices)
