Alby is annoying as hell., every time i refresh nostr or some random twitter profile it pops up and i have to exit.
It has become the most annoying extension i have.

don't use it.
not only is it very heavy handed with permissions there is zero reason why they nee to have an account except some day they are going to try and up sell me
You can use Alby with your node, no need for an account

Why don't you set "Remember my choice and don't ask again" when it asks for the permission?
It's a big question how much control the user should have and if/when to be prompted when a website does some action.
Currently you have to confirm each action once and you can set the option to "remember" it.
does this not work for you? what do you expect?
