You could make a central relay that pulls from a bunch of other relays and filters stuff out before sending it to you, this would raise huge censorship and centralization concerns I'm sure though.

Yeah, Maybe the answer is adding it into clients directly more, you could also ask users what they are interested in seeing and not when they are signing up, and could change later too. I personally wish there was a tool to block all spam in my feed but no such tool exists.

I would also like a filter where if someone reposts something from someone I've muted or hashtag I've muted it just doesn't show up at all, not as a mute sign.
