The "psychic abilities" that our species has mostly lost is the perception of these fields among other things.

if anyone ever tells you they can "see someone's aura" and they start mentioning colours or whatever else instead of describing the taurus shape that electromagnetic fields make guarantee you they are a grifter or suffering from psychosis and not a "psychic" of whatever they claim to be.
