If my friend in Lebanon finds someone who accepts bitcoin. I'd send that person bitcoin worth 100 USD and my friend would receive 99 USD, or something like that.

It's way cheaper for me than sending a bank transferral using iban / swift

Of course they've closed but there must be something similar
