If it's PGP encrypted, it's not the worst.

No, meaning you PGP encrypt the file before you actually upload it. Not relying on the encryption of whatever cloud service you're using. I don't do that method anymore, but when I was still using Google products, I would put a PGP encrypted backup on Google.

Then you have to store the PGP key somewhere & you're back to square 1.

hence why I don't really rely on the method anymore.
