I just spent 4 days working off grid in a van in south portugal and it sucked š¤£

I was delighted to be reunited with shade, a roof and plumbing this morning.
The main thing I take away from awkward experiences is that when Iām off grid I actually hate being online and I find it really hard to work!

I could not sleep well. Everywhere we found that we thought would be quiet was super loud.
How do you deal with that?
I can imagine at the beginning you hear everything if you're used to sleeping in a house š¤£ but in general, apart from the occasional car passing by there's barely any real noise tbh... and if needed you can use some earplugs..
You just got unlucky with your spots I think... close to forests are in general the better spots in my experience. It's not for everyone ofcourse but it's not so bad neither, got a roof over my head, food in my belly and warm clothes, what else do we rly need š
