Yes, definitely the CIA and not just people being livid about blatantly unconstitutional behavior.
Which part of the constitution was this violating? I genuinely want to know. I don't like how the Government picks and chooses what parts they like depending on who they are dealing with.
They don't just have access to Treasury secrets. They're also attempting to dictate how it can be spent, which is strictly under the authority of Congress, not the executive branch. Attempting to block all payments to USAID is unconstitutional because Congress gets to decide if they get paid or not. Trump's attempt to block federal loans and grants is unconstitutional for the same reason.
That's not even counting legal but not constitutional issues. So very much of how Musk has handled the treasury has been incredibly illegal. A lot of federal data got removed from websites, which I think is in violation of records keeping laws.
Constitutional clause after law after constitutional clause after law after law is broken, and yet the "Party of Law and Order" doesn't give a shit because they're getting what they want. If you want to make an argument that USAID is corrupt, fine. If you want to make an argument that loans and grants are being abused, fine. But that doesn't mean President Musk and First Buddy Trump get to ignore laws and the constitution to get what they want. We have mechanisms to change both, and Republicans hold enough of Congress to get most of it if they cared about doing things right.
