The “American dream” is a fiat debt trap:
$100,000- College
$30,000- Wedding
$900,000- Home
$50,000- Car
The fiat system traps people in their 20’s so they have to spend the next 45+ years with a job to pay off debt.
America does not run on Freedom… it runs on consumer debt.

Serious question, do people pay this much? I cannot even begin to understand how people could spend that much.
Here is my list:
No college (still have a job that allows me to provide for my family as the only income).
5k wedding 12 years ago for 50 guests. And I felt it was too expensive.
300k house 7 years ago in a really nice neighborhood. And it's huge, we really didn't need such a big house. This is in a Midwest city.
15k car, it runs great it's just old (I think it's 2012; we got it almost 2 years ago after reparing our 2005 was getting more and more expensive).
Never paid more than 5k for a vehicle myself. Not sure houses will ever look good to me to buy, I do too much construction work to feel good about any building tbh
Yes, created by inefficient vehicles of storage for economic value (i.e fiat in bank account and not put to work) (also, risk not applicable to those with access to best vehicles like PE / VC couple decades ago) (i.e unfair playing field)

the next decade that AI supercharges productivity (even the playing field so that meritocracy is the only game left). Resulting in...
Governments treat citizens as "customers," no need to "trap" folks for tax harvest (eg tax to give up citizenship), provides equal opportunity (not stipend) to all "customers"
Or I guess stack Sats, learn how to be relatively self sufficient (literally like build fire / shelter / etc) and wait it out in a place like Argentina (maybe in near future)
Kind of ranting. I'm not educated enough to offer a solution but I know a problem when I live it.
