I used it because someone snatched my namecoin domains after expiry and left a bitmessage address associated with the names. I contacted him and he agreed to atomically swap the names back to me for X NMC. It worked and I had fun. But now my names are gone again...

I'm old enough to remember BitMessage. I think it's clear Nostr DMs are way better.
