yeah, and you just visited ES where you got to actually see it widely used... this is something about that place that i find very appealing as i am a dev and i get all kinds of benefits, they'd basically give me insta-citizenship if i went there to work on bitcoin/nostr/lightning stuff

I'm still there. It's not a bad place if you don't mind warm weather. Public transit is really good. Lots of walkable stuff. Drawback may be the noise in the early morning. Lots of dogs barking, roosters crowing and scooter engines revving up the hills.

i'm gonna really do my derndest to line up another similarly cheap and isolated spot like this for the second half of this year, hopefully i can stack my sats and ride the elevator and get my boat and find a mooring that is similarly tranquil and cheap as this place, in my preparation phase for sailing away after this crazy solar max has quit blowing the weather around
