Sort of an Achilles heel for BTC, IMO. That's 8000 BTC that cannot be voided and reintegrated into the network. I'm torn on finite supply idea with no way of recovery -- or with recovery being a component tied to human responsibility. Granted BTC doesn't care about your own faults.
