One complication: Many Redditors prefer third-party apps, and they’re providing free content and moderation labor to Reddit. I don’t think that’s a reason to freak out, though. Users should just reevaluate their relationships with Reddit and either stay or leave.

I don’t think they’re suddenly upset about the free content and labor; rather they’re upset that their preferred tools for providing those things are being shut down.
