Wondering if anyone else has been there or experience with Marcin, here's mine:
I emailed and said i had a weekend of free labor to offer, than im a farmer and programmer, he said there is so much to do and to come out x weekend and he'll use me. I got there at 7am-ish on a Friday, i had to wait an hour because he was on a call. Then we met talked, said he had to go to go to the hardware store. So i wondered the property, saw all the cool machines and houses they had built. One other volunteer dude was there and he was just cleaning, he was an electrician just giving free labor too.
Marcin returned after 2 to 3 hours, argued with the electrician guy about something to do with electrical code, told us he needed lunch and disappeared for another hour. When he got back i said if he didnt give me an actual task or activity to do in an hour that i was going to leave. He said he beeded to go back to the hardware store and get one thing and would be right back. I left around 2pm that day. The electrician guy called me around 3 and said another volunteer person showed up for the weekend who actually flew in from colorado but Marcin was again gone for a couple hours came back, just argued with them and so they decided screw it, came and saw my farm.
While i was there, it seemed like most of the houses they built were probably going to cave in on themselves soon. I found 2-3 passports from african and asian countries, just sitting out on a bed that the person who owned it had clearly not been there for a long time based on the state of the room and the food in the building etc. That sketched me out a bit but it could be nothing.
I think Marcin needs a project manager that he would listen to, but he is to smart for his own good. The project is amazing and has amazing goals, but i do worry with him at the helm that their goals may never be achieved.
