i read the original K&R back in the day, but i couldn't get access to a compiler, sadly, it was all just longing and dreams

Just compile by hand, EZ

back then i had to pay AUD$600 for an Amiga C compiler, that was about how much my father earned working at a foundry

We have an entire library of them.

Jealous. Gotta build up my library.

Had to put the childrens' books downstairs, in Oma's apartment, as we have a whole wall of reference material.

My nephew has started reading some, since they're in the Grandkids Playroom. 😊
