What’s in the QR code? A lightning invoice? If so then not currently, thought bolt 12 will enable this.

Oh thanks, I was considering using a lightning invoice, but it will be for a free item to be redeemed at certain businesses like a digital free coupon.

Oh I see. Yeah I’d say you definitely can. You can send a QR code image, or an image with the QR code and a bunch more stuff like details on the coupon. Lots of businesses do similar.
