I think your last paragraph is on point. How can we (bitcoiners, different "we") convince the poor that sats are valuable in the first place in "developed"/western countries? Maybe some gamification where you earn sats for doing civic tasks (as an example, removing garbage) that improve the place while underminining the gov's power? Do you have any ideas?

What is being done in El Zonte, Berlin (El Salvador), Bitcoin Ekasi or maybe Motiv in Peru might be examples of what you suggest.

Nah I think we need to go back.

People can be poor, no problems. Those people don’t get to vote on how to redistribute rich peoples money though - they have no say over anything.

Just keep the poors fed so they won’t wake up bored tomorrow and try some Revolution for brekkie.

We’ve seen how appeasement goes - it leads to mass immigration behind cheered on by the women of your society who are out of their minds on hormone replacements and think they’re going to save the world whilst they forget to have children of their own.

This idea was a defensive mechanism and should be take seriously on that dimension.
