Pretty much yeah, just with a nice gui, decent stability, and good administration stuff that makes it set and forget pretty much! The only downside with ytdl is that youll need an account and a cookie now, so youtube can/will still track you. I created a "burner" account for the occasion, but it still has to be tied to a phone number or a google android device. AND you can just use any old VOIP line either. They have some type of verification system too, I had some old dead voip lines and an old text-chat number and none worked. I had to use an active voip line I had for my business.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I really wish there was a YouTube killer out there. 😅

You can say that again, look at my feed from earlier this year XD

The other issues is that you can't really just search and watch shit. I do miss that, probably better for mental health and productivity, but I do miss it XD. Essentially i have about 70 channels I download from and delete their content after 7 days or so. Takes up like 200gb tho. I've archived some dead channels I liked and that took up another 200 lol
