Because not everyone lives in the west and has access to reliable high speed internet and adequate hardware to manage larger blocks. TPS is adequate for now. I do think we will raise the block size in the future though.

Not everyone lives in the west is right but the majority of nodes do right?

It’s not like poor people can easily transact on chain n e ways right?

Just because the majority of nodes are currently in the west doesn't mean we should make changes to further that trend. It's critical that everyone has equal access to Bitcoin, otherwise I honestly think the experiment will have failed.

Even 1 mbps dl speeds can handle 2 or 4 mb blocks
