#nostrstandup

now that I have note contents parsed in #nostrdb, #notecrumbs can now fully render mentions, hashtags and urls (attached pic).

Last thing I need to do is a build a static html landing page that renders parsed notes as html and then the new damus.io links will be good to go! No more snort.social fallback.

notecrumbs is a bit of a testbed for damus-android since it uses the same tech for the client, database and ui.

Next thing i’ve started working on is finishing query support in nostrdb. You’ll be able to subscribe to events and get notified once they have been written to the database. If they are already in the DB, they will be returned immediately. This finishes the vision of a local, multiplexing relay model for damus clients.

This effectively makes damus and related tools “local first”. Everything will load instantly (content parsing is already done) and it will work offline by default.

I’m building damus android from the ground up using this model, and ios will be updated as well since it’s already partially integrated with nostrdb.

The great damus re-architecting is coming together, thanks for your patience 😁

You're a wizard, Will ✨

That's what I was thinking 😂😂

😉🤙

Super cool. Really excited to try this out. So this gives everyone a persistent and local copy of all their content plus the things they like, bookmark etc??

yup

It also eliminates a lot of weird contact list issues where you lose followers, etc

It’s like peer to peer with extra steps

we call this store and forward
