The 1960's trough the 1980's was the heyday for rock. Almost all of the really good music and bands was formulated then. Hell, that was even when Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and a whole host of electronic (club music) was born (might also want to look at Gary Numan's 'Cars', 'Are Friends Electric' etc. Without Gary Numan there would be no electronic music at all)

When I was at school then there was a chart show called Top of the Pops and we used to argue in the playground whether Gary Numan or The Police should get to No.1. Must admit I argued for The Police. Do love Gary Numan though 😂
