Appreciate this. Been using SwiftKey since way before it was bought up by MS. May be looking for a new option soon. Looking at replacing my Pixel 6 that reboots multiple times a day with a Pixel 6 running Calyx. Probably won't be wanting an MS keybd on there.
Yeah, makes sense! I ran Calyx for years and really liked it. Switched to GrapheneOS ~2 years ago, but Calyx still gets an honorable mention in my book.
And Graphene may be an option if I can't make Calyx work for me. I think my biggest struggle would be to try and get Intune working so I get corp emails/calendars. The joys of fiat mining at a big corp. If not Im prepared to try other options. (that I've used before)
I used to run custom roms in the early years of Androids, but haven't bothered rooting a phone in maybe a decade. I may have even run an early calyx, but always used pretty cheap phones.
another vote for #grapheneos. it's been flawless for me and has an optional sandboxed play services (if you absolutely need an app that requires it and you can't give up).
I just use a separate profile with the sandboxed play services installed.
