The purpose of me doing this is to avoid having to pay the onchain fee. I’m looking to send only small amounts from the jade to another wallet

You have to pay an onchain fee. Just send when the fees are low.

I would not recommend sending small amounts though. That would create small UTXOs which will make moving funds more expensive in the future. Better to just keep funds on lightning or on liquid for when you need to move around small amounts.

Not going to be possible from the Jade. Your Bitcoin held using the Jade as the signer is ALL on-chain only. In order to convert it onto Lightning, an on-chain transaction WILL be necessary.

Here's my recommendation. Send a more substantial amount into your own Lightning wallet, incurring only one on-chain fee, and then send any smaller amounts you need from there.

Very clear, thank you.

I should explain the motive; to transfer from my cold storage to send to nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 utilizing the bill pay feature. I hoped to just transfer amounts for monthly credit card statements utilizing Ln.

Living on the #Bitcoin standard now? Well done fellow #pleb. 🫔
