Thanks, Doc! I'm obviously a moron.

I'm not a doctor but no problem. Everybody brain farts sometimes.

Or they don't know how deep it goes. People can ask questions to get a better understanding on a subject they never really paid attention to. Even my diabetic family member watched the video and ask the same question. Instead of being condescending, just answer the question. Not everyone knows.

Now I did look up the difference after your comment and although there hasn't been any evidence diets can repair the body's ability to produce insulin, there are new methods that may make it possible to help alongside diet.

Anyways, just answer the question and don't assume everyone knows about diabetes. This is why I am asking the doctor and not you. He made the video and I wanted to learn more of his connection with his theory.

Sorry, for some reason I though the mechanism of T1 diabetes or their distinction is a common knowledge.

I heard it's possible to reverse T1 with diet if caught very early when T1 is not yet fully developed. It must be strict carnivore though, no plants at all.

I understood there are distinctions and in this video he said some key words I have not heard and thought maybe because it involves regeneration, meaning it could possibly help both types. That is why I asked is this for one or the other or both.

I'm sure in about five years there will be some superior advances.

Maybe it will help my family not be miserable all the time.

Or my family in the hospital about to get their toe cut off.

I am a very inquisitive person, when I ask - most of the time - I am serious about learning more.

Now, I could have just googled it and carried on with my day, but this doctor here was claiming something unique and made me want to know more.

I watched the video with questions in my head, ran into the other room and showed my family member who had the same exact question. So I asked to see if we could get answers.

It's just a hypothesis and needs testing. And I need to learn more about those distinctions.

Anyways, have a good day.

The amputation is because of T2, not 1, isn't it? At least I don't remember hearing about it in relation to T1, just T2.

For T2 there already is a quite reliable solution: high-fat animal-based ketogenic diet. Though I don't think it can prevent amputation if it's too late. Frankly, I don't remember seeing anyone fail to reverse their T2 on a great diet. Some might need to go all the way to carnivore though.

Either way good luck to you and your family!

Also I didn't mean "obviously" to be condescending but as a way of conveying "I'm not a doctor but it can be answered without a doctor with simple logical inference".
