do they not apply to people i follow?

Hey Ben! There should be an option in the context menu when selecting a user’s note or profile to mute.

Please keep in mind that if you follow this user they will not be removed from your feed. You can always check your muted list in your settings

im referring specifically to the my “mute words” in settings. i have 4 words in there but im still seeing notes mentioning these words in my feed.

These words will still appear in your “latest” feed if you are following the users.

Muting does not override your following

thanks, that explains the behavior.

feature request: it would be nice if I could override my following. I like my following, I just need a break from this discussion.

btw seems like muting does apply to my own notes lol
