dry steam means has no fine condensed droplets in it, requires special equipment to make it, has specific uses in chemistry

yeah, it also requires that all of the surfaces it comes into contact with are hot too
also, no, it's not supercritical in any way, it just has no cold spots in the path of flow, and all fine particles have been prevented from entering the stream, usually there is fine meshes to block fine particles while letting the vapor through
