I think that model makes the most sense. Required zap split that supports client + relay. Clients can compete on features + split fee

I had the same though but figured it must not be possible or someone would have implemented it already. This seems like the obvious solution. Asking people for donations would only work part way as most wouldn't but zap splits wouldn't upset anyone.
