When I no longer use online accounts I like to delete those accounts. Often, I will also go in to the account and change all of the personal info, and change the email to a disposable one, then delete it.
Not perfect, but digital hygiene to the best of my abilities.
Anyhow, today, I emailed an online retailer to delete my personal info and online account. They told me to fill out a form that asked for more info than I'd given them in the first place, incl. SSN 😂.... yah, nooope.
