Anyone else here on the Freedom Cell network? I found one lady in my area who was on a couple of weeks ago; most folks haven't been active for a couple of years though. Hoping that one will respond and join me for a coffee date. Definitely outside of my comfort zone to reach out but I'm looking to grow and I know that doesn't come without challenging myself.

What is a freedom cell network? Never heard of it.
I just signed up the other day and had the same experience, not much activity in my area, and most of it was months ago.
I joined in my local area a couple of years ago. Last summer I ditched all connections to Freedom Cells.
I have been a member of, and sometimes leader of, several political organizations and movements in my past. The "freedom cell" people I encountered here were the opposite of motivated to get *anything* done. It was completely deficient in every way compared to my previous experiences with other movements.
Even making a separate cell for people wanting to be "active in solution building" was impossible. No one had conviction behind their stated desires.
Some could say that each region has its own issues in the Freedom Cell Network, but what I witnessed locally has been reported across the nation.
I love some of the concepts, but I think the real key/solution is to build community that can be an alternate resource to our failed conventional systems.
I also believe the Freedom Cell Network has many opposing agents working in their midsts; including cell organizers. Some of them are easy to detect.
Interesting. Considering it’s decentralized your mileage will definitely vary.
Any tells of agents that you could share? Or what were they trying to push?
Agents will disrupt the group in various ways. It will be in the guise of beneficial acts.
One way to detect them is to see what the results of their actions are. Never mind what their stated intention is, as it will not align. They will always appear to be loyal and hardworking for the cause. However, when the results of their actions undermines the cause over and over, there's a chance it's intentional. Sure, they could just be really inept, or unusually unlucky, but if so, that needs to be mitigated as well.
They also like to encourage disagreement, (again, for supposed "benevolent" reasons), but it's part of creating division to reduce momentum in the movement.
After seeing agents do their work in cannabis legalization organizations, I started identifying the traits later when I joined other organizations. They work from the same playbook.
That's all really good to know, thanks so much. I guess I don't know how to "build community" without at least trying to find people to do that with.

I would say to focus on networking as much as possible. It requires going out of your comfort zone, which is actually very healthy. Seek out events and organizations to look for people that are also "community focused". It doesn't mean you need to be a permanent member of any group, float around. You'll eventually see some familar folks that are probably doing the same thing.
