Yes, I spun one up as a test. It works well to archive your events. It should be setup on a separate node not associated with Bitcoin / Lightning. Very easy setup: point and click and then add your relay to your Nostr client. If you want an always on connection, you can setup Tailscale and use the VPN IP for the relay.

Security. The node will be exposed to your local network and depending on app and settings choices, the Internet / TOR. Umbrel’s security model assumes the local network is secure which is not true by default.

It’s best practice to have a Bitcoin only node and another for other stuff and testing.

Not necessarily another network, just don’t use an Umbrel for primary Bitcoin and the other app offerings. You can have Bitcoin Core installed, with lightning for testing. Just don’t keep your whole stack on it. Small amounts for testing only.
