Should we add wiping out the indigenous habitant of this continent, enslaving Africans, stealing resources of other countries, killing and displacing millions of people in places like Vietnam, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc with that powerful army, orchestrating coups in other countries like Chile, Iran, etc. supporting most brutal regimes in the world, South Africa before change, Israel, Saudi Arabia, military regimes in South America?

Should we really be proud of ourselves?

Pretty sure the colonists didn’t do most of that… Slavery was a global thing, Europe and Portugal were doing it long before the America. But it was the Americans that put an end to it on a global level.

Also, I’m specifically referring to our fight against England for our freedom, that was a good thing.
