If you find it hard to believe that people don't keep track of politics consider how much you know about what is going on in sports. (this one works for me) What teams are doing well? What season is it even? Football? Who knows?

Or if you keep up with sports think about what's going on in the shows. Which shows? Oh the main ones, you know.

Yes politics is Important. But it's also very unpleasant, gross, creepy and can feel pointless.
