Now my "credit score" is low. Oh no!!!
Really just depends on if you want a house in the next 5 years or so. Otherwise you can probably wait it out until you can just buy a house outright as long as your stack is big enough.
I can see that is how that would be a concern for many. It's hard for me to articulate well why I still think it's silly.
Seems to me that financing in all forms could go away and we would all be better for it. Lower time preference is always the way, in my opinion. Banking and owing money for things seems absurd in a bitcoin future. To me...
We have a plan. If we can't pay our mortgage... We am not going anywhere. It will be a fight both in the court and our drive. we were homeless. These assholes pillage our wealth and we am not going there again. We can guarantee that.
If we just all stayed in our homes and fought for it They certainly would not feel bold to take it!
Do it. There's a a whole lot of soft talk in the world. I bet you could easily stay for quite a while with little to no action other than scary papers the mail. Stack and forget the rest I say. I'll take a freedom over "credit".
I just don't want problems later on life. I rather just pay it all off and live worry free.
Problems like what?
I don't know so I rather just my bases.
It felt so freeing for me to calmly walk away from my debt. It's a rigged game. They do not deserve my participation. For me, when I take a leap of faith, my reality improves. That was a big one. It took me a couple years of consideration and once I did, it was the biggest weight I ever dropped. I kmow its not the path for everyone.
If I was single, I probably would but I'm married and have a kid on the on the way. I don't want my choice to effect them negatively. Plus I'll be debt free in about 2 months. I never plan on using any kind of debt instrument again.
That makes sense. My kids are grown so it changes things. Congrats on getting it done. I can see honor in that.
I am a man of my word.
That's a good reason. But do "they" deserve your word? I felt tricked into a game I never wanted to play in the first place. . Integreity is very important to me. But if others don't act likewise, I move on.
Nobody wants their wages garnished or a lean on Title.
Wages garnished for what kind of debt? Financing cars is a scam, in my opinion. Lower time preference is the way for me.
All debt is backed by force. If they can prove you have debt then a law suit can be filed against you. After that, your assets can be taken as payment or they can garnish your wages. There is technically no such thing as unsecured debt in that regard since they will take whatever they can from you if it comes to that. Even just for credit card debt. Secured debt only specifies in advance what property can be taken from you. Same thing happens for bankruptcy. You don’t get to walk away from debt if you have a job or if you own any type of property. Also, if you die with debt, they will go after your estate. If you had a co-signer… yup.
Debt is a drug, just say no!
I assure you they aren't finding me or mine. I agree on saying no.
