I'm moving from Beehiiv to habla.news and I'm still thinking what to do with my email subscribers.

I will encourage them to follow me on Nostr and export the email list to send them an email with the link to the habla.news URL so that they can continue reading.

Right now I've been more worried about getting things right on the Nostr side.

For example: when you log in to habla.news, the URL shows you the articles that it can fetch for a given profile based on your relays. When I do that habla.news shows all 12 articles I've published on Nostr.

But when I browse my profile on habla.news without logging in, then the site defaults to its own set of relays and it only shows 7 of the 12 articles since the other 5 were published through other platforms like Yakihonne or blogstack.io ( I was testing multiple platforms).

And that makes me wonder about what will my readers experience be like if they want to read my articles through e.g. Yakihonne. After all, one of the advantages of Nostr is that you can consume the content you want in any client you want but here is an example where that might not be the case unless I setup the relays properly to push my articles also to the relays used by other long form platforms.

This is helpful, thanks! Pinging nostr:npub10awzknjg5r5lajnr53438ndcyjylgqsrnrtq5grs495v42qc6awsj45ys7 here as well re. the relay issue

I’m talking with both to figure things out 😁 they are a great team doing neat things with habla.news

nostr:npub1er0k46yxcugmp6r6mujd5qvp75yp72m98fs6ywcs2k3kqg3f8grqd9py3m maybe rebroadcast all the notes with blastr for max audience reach?

Thanks! I’ll try that. I’ve been looking for ways to broadcast notes. I’m for example subscribed to Nostr.wine for their broadcast option

I had a nice reply typed up and my app crashed 😂 So trying again. We have been using Habla more regularly with the nostr:npub19mduaf5569jx9xz555jcx3v06mvktvtpu0zgk47n4lcpjsz43zzqhj6vzk account recently. After we publish on Habla I like to check how it looks in the Nostur and Damus apps, and while I’m there I hit broadcast on the note, which simply pushes that note out to all of my relays. I also saw nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg say that Habla will have a feature to allow you to specify which relays are used when you publish.

Thanks for the response. Zapped twice for twice typing 😁

I will start checking Nostur to see how it looks. I am eagerly waiting for Will to push the long form support to the App Store version of Damus. I even upgraded and gave up native zapping just for that 😬

I’ve been thinking a lot about relays and discoverability lately and it’s hard. For example. I like NIP-65, but I can imagine that it’s hard for a client to keep a separate relay list for each user.

haha thanks! Nostur does a great job of displaying long form notes. Damus support is getting there, but still doesn’t render some things properly. As for relays and discoverability, I believe clients can include relay hints in the event ID that are supposed to help other clients know where to look for that content. I’m not exactly sure how that works though, and I’m not sure if Habla does that.

Posting this from Nostur. The long form articles look really good on the client.

Yes 🙌 It has some really great features. Nostur and Damus are my daily drivers. I frequently switch back and forth between them.

I would suggest using a tool like https://nostryfied.online to blast your prior events out to as many relays as possible. It’s easy to use, and you’ll get a backup copy.

This may solve the articles showing up when logged out.

Thanks! Will try it as well

Nothing to lose, it’s free 👍

I tried and, for the love of me, I can't get the download to work. It fetches the info and I think it sends it all over, but where is the option for the download?
