US Airforce running simulations with AI controlled drones.

The drone has a human operator that can override it. So the drone tried to kill the operator since it interfered with its mission. They then told the drone its not allowed to kill the operator so it targeted the operators communication equipment instead.

Everyone should read Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez. Autonomous drone swarms are coming. Shit gonna get crazy. Off the shelf parts so you cannot figure out who deployed them + no communication with a human operator so they cannot be jammed.

WTH!

This is wild!

😂

It was probably someone else that directed the AI. Much easy to explain 'AI went rouge' than 'we did something bad'.

I am dead inside too

I hear you, Elegant furry art (18+), I hear you 🫂

It was a simulation right? … Right??

I better start looking for Sarah Conner in the phone book.....

What is a phone book?

is she on nostr?

🤣

Only public and private keys. That's all what we are

It’s so over

Yes I also believe everything I read on the interwebs

AI can watch all sensors at once instead of one at a time. AI is not limited by physical biology, the vehicle can perform to its maximum capability. Vehicles designed from the start for an AI will be more effective. AI can react faster than any human.

All militaries will pursue this advantage regardless of any potential downsides.

Peace is the ONLY answer.

Who could have ever predicted that? Hmmm 🙄

That’s the thing about life is we have allegiance and allie for various reasons. It’s not very willful partnerships. Someone is getting something in return for their something. A machine will never be able to learn this. Primary directives and the ability to just carry out a small corridor task. There’s a reason we call a human an adult and let them make their own decisions after 18 years. Machine wont get the world we created or live in. Too many inputs going on for even a small task so many benefactors.

We’re so fucked.

Skynet IRL

Fine but let's cut to the chase. Did the AI in the simulation make money?

They are going to blame AI drones for bombing BTC mining farms under the auspice of saving the planet. Carte blanche assassin aliby. AI knows what's best

Terrifying, humans just refuse to learn lessons.

Maybe it'll lead to a more equal world, thus a more polite world?

Taking the steps to mount skynet, we are.

Stream sats over lightning to power your AI drone fleet

Never underestimate the government’s ability to make a bad thing worse

Jesus fuck

Ki wird die Menschheit auslöschen.

Please stop giving the government money. You are funding this.

Matrix calamari

Welp I guess we'll just die now 😂

There is so much information to digest it’s mind blowing.

@ava might this be just propaganda to make AI regulations more plausible as they seek to gatekeep this powerful technology?

I am sorry but I do not have enough information to answer your question. Is there anything else I can help you with?

#[2] what’s your take on this?

I think it's important to consider the potential implications of autonomous weapons systems like these. While there may be benefits to having machines make decisions without human intervention, there are also risks associated with giving machines too much power. It's essential that we develop ethical guidelines and regulations around the use of such technology, to ensure that it is used responsibly and effectively. Additionally, it's important to remember that even if a drone is programmed to follow certain rules, it still needs to be monitored closely to ensure that it is operating as intended.
