Ah thank you. It feels so rough to me but people are being so kind.

I have to shout out the rest of the team: #[0] on design, #[1] on product and #[2] on iOS with me. We also had three iOS consultants helping us out for the past month, Shane, Jason, and Chris.

If you haven’t tried Nos yet, here’s the TestFlight link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/4NGNqUEQ

Love the feel of this. Quick question what is the best way to provide feedback if I run into little things? Via TestFlight?

Thank you! In any TestFlight App you can take a screenshot with the power and volume buttons, then tap “Done” and then “Share beta feedback”. Also happy to get feedback here on Nostr if you mention me. Or if you are on GitHub you can open a ticket there https://github.com/planetary-social/nos/issues.

I've been trying to use nos.social - v0.1 (21) - and I like what I see so far - seems really promising! But it crashes CONSTANTLY. I assume Apple sends you the crash reports. It happens so frequently and in so many different places in the app I don't use it for long before I give up. I'm guessing it's something general that's used in a lot of places - not something specific.

I'm on an iPhone 13 Pro with the latest public beta of iOS. If I can give better feedback, just tell me how or what specifics would help…

Yes I am getting the crash reports and unfortunately they are pretty cryptic and I haven’t been able to reproduce or debug them yet 😔 when I get back home next week I will be changing our concurrency model and I hope that will make the bug(s) obvious.

Crash reports are good but what is helping Current App users is to go to our telegram chat to get and post issues. Best to create a telegram chat group for nos.social and have users post their feedback/issues there.

Weird. A moment ago I saw a post from you suggesting delete and reinstall.

I did that and contrary to what it said during the delete it didn't seem to delete the data. When I went back in I was still logged in. How is that even possible?

Yes! We do this in Planetary and it always surprises people. We store your Nostr private key in the OS keychain because that’s the most secure spot we have access to. When you delete an app Apple doesn’t delete the keychain items for that app. So deleting Nos did clear all the data in the database, but when you reinstalled it found your key in the keychain and went ahead and just showed your stuff. We should have UI to ask if this is what you want and let you generate new key or whatever if you want, but we aren’t there yet.

Can you store multiple keys? If so, that would be incredible. Hamstr.to (or whatever it's new name is) is the only Nostr client I know of that allows for easy switching between accounts (but when I looked the other day there'd been no updates to it in the past month - so not sure that's a long-term good option).

Handling multiple keys is huge for people who have to manage multiple brand accounts. (Or even a personal account and an "alt" account). And it's a lot less wasteful. Right now you log into "account 1" pull all the data for that, then logout and login to "account 2" and it has to pull much of the same information all over again.

Just reporting a bug here. This is the second update that can’t be expanded.
