lots of trial and error. get in a good mood, dress up with your cutest outfit and just use the camera as a mirror to how you feel <3 if i think about it too much i end up hating everything, so i just do it quick

find your good angle. everyone has one. it's the angle that you feel better in compared to other angles.
exaggerate. if you wanna take a "I'm so cool" selfie then you gotta be in the mindset of "I'm the baddest bitch" and really go for it.
take a couple crap selfies first to get the awkward out.
