3 client settings I’d love to see on nostr:
1. Purist toggle - remove all reactions from notes. Let me judge each note independent of social signal.
2. Zen mode toggle - give me an option to delay my notifications by a specified time (by me). The idea is that I don’t need to see all notifications instantly, thus reducing the need to constantly check to see if anyone reacted.
3. I think nos has this - disappearing notes. Doesn’t need to work perfectly, just that it makes and effort.
These are good suggestions. I'd like an option to see notes and other activity only from the npubs I explicitly follow. Yes, I want to create my own echo chamber. I've found that I find the people worth following organically without everything from everyone being crammed into my screen.

Does that include reposts from people you follow?
No, because it is coming directly from them. I want to see what the people I follow think is important, regardless of the actual source. What I don't want is a feed that is full of shit I explicitly don't want to see. Primal has actually done a decent job here. Amethyst was absolutely terrible. I would probably want more specific options here. I want to see their reposts, but maybe not everything they like, zap, etc.
I mean no for me, not that I don't think it would be a good option to have in general. It would be.
i would love an ultraminimalist client, period
1. just a stream of notes. no menus, sidebars, whatever. ok maybe a single menubar at the bottom with search and setting buttons and that's it.
2. notes are the focus
3. posted avatar and name below the note in smaller font
4. no buttons. tap note to reply. long press to react (zap, bookmark, report, whatever)
something like that.

Zephyr.coracle.social was nice for 1. I haven't used it since my last laptop died but I always thought it would be nice to be able to reply from there, without any other replies, zaps, likes being displayed.
