I don't want to generate debate, but I don't understand who wants to pay for a NIP-05 identifier. I can understand that there are paid relay's, but you can fight spam and bots in many ways. I have seen prices of up to 45,000 sats for an identifier! Have we gone mad?

If the goal is to fight bots, 100 sats would be enough, wouldn't it?

And no, it is not expensive to host a NIP-05 service, a media server or a relay server is another thing, but just to validate?

Nostr version of 'I am rich' iOS app.

Some people just like to build their ego showing that they spent cash on something.

For them, it somehow reflects status.

Same shit as fancy cars, fashionable clothes or some other elements of life for show.

If along with NIP there are also some usabilities like private relay access, tools etc. Then higher price is understandable.

Yes, if there are more services I understand that, but only the verification! We offer more services and it's all free, but I am aware that it is an anomaly in the current landscape.
