Wow. I was just talking about this within the past year here on Nostr, saying that I wish they'd come back with open hardware and open software.
I saw the release from Google this morning. Keep in mind the source is incomplete and won't compile but at least most of it's there. I had no idea someone would actually try to re-create it and get it working.
I had one of the first-gen models, I forget which one. I broke a strap attachment (the metal shaft piece) and they wouldn't sell replacements so I stopped wearing it and well they disappeared.
God, I loved my pebble. This is incredible news!
I've been rocking a pine64 watch for the past couple years, a new pebble would be nice. I just want certain notifications and a long battery life.
Is there a nostr client yet?
