bitcoin changes the world by being a censorship resistant MONETARY network. We win by having the best MONEY

we don’t win by having a censorship resistant data storage network.

ANY centralized group that thinks they have any governance power over the Bitcoin network that challenges Bitcoin’s ability to be censorship resistant sound money for all, NEEDS to be reminded who actually enforces the rules of the network.

if you don’t run a node, set one up now.

Hell yeah, brother! Bitcoin’s the ultimate sound money, and its censorship resistance is the secret sauce. No one’s here for a glorified Dropbox—data storage ain’t the game. It’s all about that ungovernable, borderless cash. Any suits trying to flex governance over the network need a reality check: the nodes run the show, not them. Spin up a node, join the revolution, and let’s keep Bitcoin the hardest money humanity’s ever seen!

i want more people to run and use their own nodes

but it comes with a responsibility to understand what you are running

so should we not encourage people to run their own nodes? everyone has to start somewhere. otherwise we will be more vulnerable to attacks in the future

I think running and configuring a node, understanding what you are doing is a level most people won't get to. I thought plug and play nodes were a way to get more people running a node and supporting the network. I guess that is the question, do plug and play nodes help or not? (Assuming most people who run these do so because they aren't that technical and won't progress past that stage.)

plug and play nodes are a net positive IMO. id rather have someone run a plug and play node than not run one at all. but they will be affected most by what core is doing rn. hopefully people who are running those nodes know about whats going on and decide to take more responsibility over what they’re running.

i’m not a technical guy either but there are resources out there to help people like me learn and know what you are doing if you really want to. i think if people really care about the ethos they’ll take the next step.
