To be fair, without this dichotomy, free will would not exist. The two are mutually interdependent.

Bro leftism isn't just what they show on the tv

It’s hard to have an intelligent conversation with someone who thinks only in these terms

It is but one of the innumerable interdependences of opposites.

My personal take. “Leftism” and “Rightism” both contain the dichotomy. And currently the “devil” or “away from god” side is winning in both sides. Just because one preaches words - doesn’t mean their actions are aligned.

There are bad forms of Leftism and Rightism, for sure. But Leftism is a denial of the natural order, and thus is more natural in the role of the dissident than the incumbent.

I would argue that leftism has aspects of the natural order. Because I think Alan Watts would agree there is no order, it just is.

But it’s within the extremes we find the dissidents. And for whatever reason we hyper focus on our extremes.

It's in the contrast that we can better know what it is that we prefer.

Free will is found in here.
