I followed this entire shitshow since the days when Roger Ver cozied up to Craig. I read the court documents. Listened to Arthur Van Pelt's "Dr Bitcoin" podcast.

I have learned so much about dangerous personalities and confidence games and Potemkin villages of shelf companies and bought engagement. I have learned that there are legitimately stupid people who are destined to destroy their financial well-being by falling into the group psychosis of personality cults.

I consider most of it highly educational and time well spent.

Yeah. I was there at the beginning too. It was just so awful to watch.

I know a guy who followed CSW early on and still does. He exchanged a LOT of BTC to BCH and later to BSV.

The guy could have been rich beyond his wildest dreams if he just hedged his bets a little. But it is, as you say, a personality cult, it's all in or you a not a "true believer".

I've met one of them in real life and I walked away with the impression that he was the sort of person that was destined to lose for lack of critical thinking skills no matter what. He could have just as easily fallen down a manhole cover or been gored by a buffalo he taunted on a nature hike. CSW was just the particular car that took him to Loser Town.
