Never selling the farm to Big Ag.

Never selling the farm to Big Ag.

They made you an offer? What is their plan if you know...
I don't care what their plan is but I'm not selling to them.
A friend of mine didn't want to sell either, but they bought everything else around and that effected him heavily. Maybe you should know...
Without knowing what farm you mean. This is currently happening to me but its politicians and industrialists who made the purchase around my farm (was doing avocado and a specific flower and organic of course) but in the last stages of the sale currently. Looking to buy in a locality of like minded neighbors after this and will switch to having a perennial food forest from now on.
Vines.
But also know another case that has to do with tourism, not a farm. When a big company buys everything around you, it can heavily affect you. I don't say that you have to sell to them also, but certainly you have to be preppered for... war π
Yeah they visited my parents place (they old) and made it clear that they would like to buy and that they told them to tell me it would be a good idea to sell. Not surprising i started the sale process shortly after. They bought neighborhood plots in similar way.
I'm very well aware. However, there is a great sense of community where I'm from that people don't simply give up their best for profits.
During the pandemic, I acquired a small plot of land near the airport that a group of us turned into a produce garden. We planted seasonal vegetables and made it available for everyone.
Perhaps the best thing that happened from this was that people in my town were actually willing to pay for what was offered to them for free. They left cash in envelopes without being asked.
That's the kind of people I wish to serve and they encourage and support businesses like mine.
Probably unrelated, but it got me thinking.
"Does it look like we need the money?"
Outward displays of wealth nowadays are often desperate means of saving money from debasement, and is often a check on their own freedom.
Whereas a humble Bitcoin whale could look like he needs for a lot and be wealthier and freer than a man who gives the appearance owning the world.
I can only speak for myself.
The reason for that gif is that I value the value my products bring to the community. I don't want to give it up to Big Ag who has offered to acquire it for a hefty sum (at least to me it is) only for them to skimp on the quality and not meet the standards we currently have.
Nothing to do with wealth or bitcoin, just principle.
That's a solid perspective.
