This strike was incredibly well telegraphed. It's been in the news for several weeks.
What if the October surprise is that this strike was done on purpose so Kamala can come in and say she helped negotiate a deal. Right now, she is polling at a record low for a Democrat amongst union workers. It's almost the perfect setup and would make sense why they had no urgency to push for a deal. Let it go on long enough where people feel some pain, then come in and play the hero.
