Good Morning the strike has begun. If this lasts longer than a week you might want to start your Christmas shopping early this year or certain items wont be in stock later this year. Also stock up on food and other essentials just in case this goes longer than expected.
As much as it will suck in the short term, it will showcase how fragile supply chains are and will improve us for the better.
No doubt! I'm in the building materials industry and we will 100% be impacted on things like plywood, cabinets, etc. Material will become scarce and prices will certainly go up. Guaranteed!
What if the October surprise is that this strike was done on purpose so Kamala can come in and say she helped negotiate a deal. Right now, she is polling at a record low for a Democrat amongst union workers. It's almost the perfect setup and would make sense why they had no urgency to push for a deal. Let it go on long enough where people feel some pain, then come in and play the hero. It is a sad situation... but it is also the opportunity to have more austere holidays... less spending on unnecessary, expensive and disposable decorations... more presence and fewer gifts... more interviews and talks and less extravagant meals. ..
