I can confirm that exporting and importing from LastPass to Bitwarden/Vaultwarden does work. I did that many moons ago.

I will also say that KeePass does work great. I've been using it for almost 20 years.

There is no need to trust these password companies in the Cloud.

Keepass is more than enough and if you need Cloud then you put the keepass file in the Cloud, it's as easy as that.

People hate on KeePass because the UI is basic and old school looking. It may not have changed a lot over the past 20 years, but dammit it works absolutely great.

I would make sure to encrypt the keepass file first though if uploading to a cloud.

You can export your LastPass Vault and then import it into Bitwarden.Β  I did that and then generated new passwords for all my accounts.
