Do you have any good (elaborate) sources on how e.g. Trezor does things better? Their site states open-source firmware which is obviously a plus, but are there comprehensive overviews for hardware wallets?

I put my trust in swiss quality products, they also experiment with Lightning.

I see your point. I find it difficult to judge what *really* is good. The BitBox guys are very explicit about what it takes to get to the private key, which is great. I think they are more explicit than what I've read elsewhere.
Yes, it is difficult for me aswell but experience wise I would never recommend Ledger.
I have yet to try others like the Blockstream Yade which is on it's way.
Going to setup some different price classes to know what to best recommend to none tech people like me.
Just read a bit of a surprising message: the backup microsd card is not encrypted. That means that if someone acquires it, it's over. It is a bit contrary to the other claims they're making.
