Urg. So many IT jobs Im seeing require security clearance. Even saw it for a remote wordpress dev (job based out of DC of course)
A. I smoke to much weed. They will never give me clearance on that alone.
B. Fuck working for feds.
So annoying that they pay so fekken well.
I think it just entails comprehensive background checks and not random drug screens.
A friend of mine that got clearence recently says you need to be clean of everything but Booze for sevral years.
Now how are they going to be able to determine that? Re employment Hair follicle test? What if you’re bald? And I think those tests are becoming illegal for employment.
I honestly have no idea how they sus that out.
They have no way of knowing that its been several years unless you've been arrested in that time. With weed it can be released by fat cells for months though if you're an all day consumer which could fail a blood, sweat, maybe hair test. Its honestly not worth it. I'm certain that it wouldn't be a right cultural fit for any sovereign individual wanting to make their own choices about their body and healthcare. We don't need them.
